Most people approaching AI strategy come from engineering or traditional business. I came from design thinking, creative systems, and community-first problem solving — through a BS in Creative Entrepreneurship at MCAD. That difference is the point.
I think about the humans in the room before I think about the tools. That perspective has shaped my work at Target, BI Worldwide, and in the independent products I've built as a founder — from AI-powered tools for immigrant communities to digital publication platforms.

The Somali diaspora stays connected to home — but the news landscape is fragmented across dozens of sources in multiple languages, making it hard to stay meaningfully informed. I built Somali.Press to solve that. The system aggregates news from multiple Somali media sources, runs it through an AI pipeline that identifies the most significant stories, and distills them into sharp, readable briefs. Built specifically for diaspora readers who want signal, not noise — and who deserve a product designed with their context in mind.

AI Hair Analysis Prototype
Identity Organics — an organic hair products company — needed a way to educate consumers about their hair and connect them to the right products for their needs. I designed and built a prototype that lets users upload or take a photo of their hair and receive an accurate, AI-powered analysis of their hair's current state: porosity, texture, damage level, and moisture balance. The tool then recommends the specific Identity Organics formula best suited to their hair profile, turning a passive product catalog into a personalized consultation experience.

Partnered with leadership to identify operational pain points and rapidly prototype software solutions. Designed and implemented automations that reduced manual workload across repetitive business processes. Developed AI-driven tools — including chatbots and automation workflows — to measurably enhance team productivity in a fast-paced event technology environment.

A.I. Lab Fellowship — The BrandLab
Embedded with Target's internal teams as an AI Lab Fellow through The BrandLab. Built and presented AI-integrated prototypes directly to corporate stakeholders, translating emerging technology into practical applications relevant to multiple departments. Consulted teammates on AI integrations to improve day-to-day workflows, and conducted ongoing research to ensure recommendations stayed relevant to Target's organizational needs.
